Traffic: 50,000 Conv: 1.20% → 2.00% AOV: RM 150

How the Calculation Works

The calculator compares your revenue today with your revenue at the target conversion rate, keeping traffic and average order value the same. The difference is your monthly revenue lift.

Current revenue = Traffic × Current conversion × AOV
Projected revenue = Traffic × Target conversion × AOV
Monthly lift = Projected revenue - Current revenue
Example: 50,000 visits × (2.0% − 1.2%) × RM 150 = RM 60,000 / month

What Moves Conversion Rate

Small changes at checkout often matter more than more traffic. These are the areas we usually look at first:

Common converison levers

1

Checkout flow

Fewer steps, guest checkout, and clear shipping costs before the final page.

2

Local payment options

Offering the methods your customers already use, such as FPX online banking and e-wallets.

3

Mobile speed & UX

Fast product pages and thumb-friendly forms for shoppers browsing on phones.

4

Trust signals

Delivery timelines, return policy and reviews shown where buyers make the decision.

E-Commerce Conversion FAQs

Your conversion rate is the percentage of store visitors who complete a purchase. For example, if 10,000 people visit your online store in a month and 200 of them place an order, your conversion rate is 2%.

We multiply your traffic by the difference between your target and current conversion rate, then by your average order value. Traffic and AOV are kept the same so you only see the effect of converting more visitors.

Most online stores convert between 1% and 3% of their visitors, so anything above 3% is generally considered strong. The right benchmark depends on your industry, price point and where your traffic comes from, so compare against your own past results first.

Both matter, but improving conversion is often the cheaper win because you earn more from visitors you are already paying to attract. If your conversion rate is below average, improving product pages, checkout and trust signals usually gives a better return than spending more on ads.

Your store platform’s analytics, such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Shopee and Lazada Seller Centre, shows your visitors, orders and conversion rate. You can also use Google Analytics 4: compare sessions and purchases over the same period to work out your rate.
